My wife and I took Ecotour's Marineland Kayak tour of the GTM-NERR on April 10th with Brandon as our guide. It was a beautiful day and Brandon made the most of every moment. He was a patient kayak instructor as well as a knowledegable guide and expert on the ecosystem of the GTM-NERR. His passion and enthusiasm for the biological plant and animal life of the area is contageoue! We came for a good outdoor experience but left with a much greater understanding of the value of Florida's natural resources. We highly recommend this experience, and to top it off Ripple Effect Ecotour gives you complimentary passes to Marineland--another great adventure--if you like dolphins! - Joe and Mary Douthitt

We were looking for some exercise, nature, and fun on the water. We lucked out to get guide, Danny, on our same day call and reservation for a sunset tour. We were at Washington Oaks Park so it was a short jaunt over there. The intercoastal waterway near Marineland was a great trip. We spotted heron, egrets, ducks, and a lone dolphin. Danny had knowledge of the area and ecology. He certainly wanted to pass on information as well as ensure we had fun kayaking. - Kristen Burns

Thank you for a very educational, fun and safety minded tour today. Our family had a super time AND we learned a lot too. It was just the right amount of time and challenge. Thank you for taking the time on the tour to educate about caring for the earth as well. We are so interested in preserving the earth and it's amazing gifts from God such as the estuaries and water ways. Our guide Brandon and assistant Alex were top notch guides. Very professional, knowledgeable, talented and fun. Great with kids too! - Laura Brock

WOW, we just returned from a sunset tour with our guide, Alex. We left from the Marineland area and paddled out into magnificent natural beauty and serenity. In the first ten minutes, we saw a blue heron, a snowy egret, a bottle nose dolphin and jumping fish! It was fabulous. It's the night before the full moon but it was just as beautiful as if it was full. Alex explained so much about the environment we paddled through and why it is so important to keep it in such pristine condition. He was so pleasant, informative and great to be with. We HIGHLY recommend this kyaking tour! ;D - Betsy

Went out of Father's Day 17 June 2012 and had the best day ever. We hired tandem kayaks and we went out exploring the waterways. What a great thing to do, I would recommend these guys to anyone. Peter Kitchin, Chester, England. - Peter Kitchin

BEST KAYAK ECO-TOUR EVER! We set out at the Marineland location and had wonderful outing with our terrific guide Alex! We saw many sea birds and dolphins along the way. We learned an incredible amount of information about the habitat from Alex who was extremely knowledgeable, and a little bit funny too! All the Ripple Effect's guides are friendly, energetic and expert! Not to be missed! - Al, Ann and Emma Miciak

I love the guys at Ripple Effect.
They are so much fun and incredibly informative. Their passion for what they do is outright contagious. I took a kayaking class with Danny to help start me out on the path to getting my level one certification in kayaking. The 2 hour class was a great deal of fun. His instruction was wonderful, he really helped me hone my skills and learn proper technique so I could move with more grace & efficiency in the water. I also learned safety skills and kayaking vocabulary. He also gave me further resources to continue my skills on my own. Thanks Danny! You're an excellent teacher! Can't wait to check out the February Naturalist classes, now that I'm back in town, and get back out on the water! ^_^ - Sabrina Huerth

Dear Chris,

We just wanted you to know what a wonderful time we had with Brandon on our late afternoon tour on the 20th of October. Our friends, Annedore from Berlin, Germany and Lynne & Jim from St. Augustine, all first-timers in kayaking enjoyed themselves very much. Brandon is a great guide, lots of fun to be with and very knowledgeable.
Thanks for the invitation to Marineland. That was an additional special treat.
We will be back soon.

The best to all of you,

:D Thank you so much for the most excellent kayaking experience for first timers, namely, myself and my children. You guys were very professional and informative.
Had a wonderful time. We were debating going to one of the theme parks, but who needs all the crowds? And you come away feeling they are so commercialized. This was a real excursion into nature, and much more worth the price. - Charles Hacker

Thanks for posting pics from our kayak tour back in early April. They were great to view and what with the dreary, rainy weather we've been having in the Northeast, we longed to be back there! You guys at Ripple Effects did a great job with our group. It was low-key but very informative. We enjoyed it and would recommend your kayak tours to others-in fact, we already have! Hope to see you again if we are lucky enough to vacation in that area again. - Karen and Kevin McNamara, Canandigua, New York

Had a great time exploring the waterways of the GTM. Our guides, Danny and Mike were outstanding on directing the groups as well as keeping everyone, especially the kids engaged in both the ecological aspects of the tour as well as the enjoyment of being on and around the water. The only disappointing part was that the adventure had to end! Definitely on our things to do again when we visit the area in the future. Thanks Guys! - The Johls

Thank you for the photos -- they're marvelous!

We had a wonderful, enlightening tour! Thank you for making our brief visit to the Marineland area so much fun -- and for helping us to create a great
family memory. We can't wait to visit again with more family and friends! - Andrea and Tom Miller

We have been coming down to the Palm Coast area in Florida for several years now and have enjoyed St. Augustine to the North and Daytona Beach to the South. At the top of the list is the kayaking tour we took this year. My wife, 2 children and I had the best time and learned alot about the environment, the Intercoastal Waterway and the wildlife. Chris was our guide along with Mike and I would recommend the tour for both young and old. We dolphins while out and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. - David Brown

Thank you Chris, for explaining your tours so patiently. My first one was the noon Marineland tour last Monday, with Mike. We were rewarded with a fabulous dolphin encounter (the most Mike remembered seeing at one time in that area). It was wonderful to poke through the creeks, view the oyster beds, and ponder Mike's commentary about the vegetation and ever-changing ecosystem, much of the time completely out of view of anything man-made. Although I've always been apprehensive about crossing the ICW in a kayak, when the moment came to do it, I never gave it a thought! I'm now eagerly anticipating my next tour, Anastasia Sunset, next week. I really appreciate your taking pictures and sending them to us, so we don't have to worry about taking our individual cameras along. - Janet

So we are vacationing in Florida with my nephew from California. He's never been kayaking but wants to try so off we go to take this tour. Mike and Chris were the tour guides and they were wonderful with my nephew. In fact by the time we got done with this tour he decided he wanted to go again so the VERY next day Mike took us out to Deep Creek! Thanks Mike!
As for this tour? Beautiful! Fun! Relaxing! We really gained an appreciation for the environment. I want to commend Mike and Chris for the wonderful way in which they shared their knowledge about the area.
thanks so much guys, the two days we spent with you were the highlight of our trip! - Kathryn

I had such a great time on the kayak tour at Marineland! I learned all kinds of things about the marsh and the ecosystem it supports that I did not know... I had the delight of watching (from a distance, with binoculars) young bald eagles testing out their wings in their nest, and had a blast kayaking through the marsh! Guides Danny and Chris were excellent and enthusiastic in sharing their vast knowledge, but also so very helpful and patient in teaching us the mechanics of a tandom kayak! I love the fact that photos are taken and emailed to me - what a treat! This was my first kayak tour and I so enjoyed it that I will recommend it to my friends...I'd love to do it again! Thanks to Danny and Chris for a great time! :) - Kimberly Hogan
