The kayak trip took us through different areas of the intracoastal where we could really appreciate the vegetation and surroundings. Getting out of the office, into the fresh air and onto the Intracoastal was an exhilarating and rejuvenating experience! I have thought of some of the facts about the Timucua Indians that we learned from your guide Joe on that day, everyday since our trip. The group paddling in tandem kayaks on this was a fantastic way to shake off the office doldrums and get revived for another year of work (plus it was nice to get together and talk about something other than the day to day operations of our work groups). Everybody had a great time and I am sure our organization benefitted from this outing. Fun, enlightening, and more importantly, an excellent way for our office to come closer together as a team — to really bond outside of our usual setting. I've never been a fan of traditional "team-building" exercises, but this was a great way to really work together.
