Faver-Dykes State Park is a beautiful park that has gone undiscovered by much of the general public. Therefore, The Friends of Faver-Dykes State Park would like to invite everyone to learn more about the park during a two hour kayaking ecotour that will take place on the beloved Pellicer Creek. As a state canoe trail, Pellicer Creek is surely one of the most beautiful creek systems in northeast Florida. Faver-Dykes State Park is made up of a diverse landscape with a hardwood forest bordering the tidal marshes along Pellicer Creek.

Within the Park are pinelands, hammocks, swamps, bayheads, and marshes. This variety of plant communities accounts for the abundant wildlife here. The peaceful and tranquil setting of this biologically rich area offers the unhurried visitor an opportunity to relax, reflect, explore, discover and wonder. The tour will begin at Faver-Dykes and explore along the park\'s shores and along through the Pellicer Creek Aquatic Preserve. After some basic instruction, you will be paddling stable double kayaks complete with all the necessities. On this kayak tour, you will experience the inhabitants of the creek, the vegetation and the array of different water fowl that flock here. The tour fee includes entry to the park, so please feel free to explore the park even further after the tour is over. Space is limited, so sign up early to ensure your spot. Hi Chris and Matt,

Just wanted to reiterate that this was my best kayaking experience ever. Have been out 8 or so times, most on a guided tour. You are the first to provide the technique instructions to make the experience a pain free, top performance experience. You do a wonderful job of education and info sharing. Thanks for a wonderful day and thanks to you and Matt for your enthusiasm and knowledge Hope to see you soon.

Susan
